Billionaire...

Last night Josh and Que were on a dinner date at Perkins. They were waiting for their food when Que lights up and says Dad, I got an idea... Let's save all our Money so we can become Billionaires!

sometimes in the quiet we realize a blessing..

This morning it was 8:45am and all of a sudden a realization of what I was doing hit me. My house was quiet in the background I could softly hear Christian music coming from my kids' room and across my chest and body wide awake but calm and relaxed was my 16 month old in his diaper. I was reclined back and bit, rocking him softly, and lightly rubbing my hand across his back. I find myself close to tearing up! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to just sit and hold my little boy... no rushing to daycare or work or obsessing over the clutter scattered around or anything else. Just blessed to be able to take those quiet moments with my little boy who is growing much quicker than I like to admit! Sometimes it is very easy for me to forget the blessing of being a mom who gets to stay home. Thank you Jesus for the quiet moments when we realize how good you are!

*side note- he did greet me at the top of the stairs in the buff! diaper laying in the hallway, luckily had a full diaper and not a wet spot on the carpet! oh how i love when they learn how to take their diaper off*
i am not saying anything to hurt or offend working moms by any means! i find myself wanting to work and have that instead of enjoying this opportunity while i have it.

Back to the Bucket List

So .. what I'm thinking is ..
1) getting a normal bedtime for all 3 of my children! as type i look over and see my 16 month old has climbed up on a stool and reached his grubby little paws into the center of a pan of brownies!
2) visit Venice
3)stay in a romantic resort with my husband
3)start a non-profit organization or develop something for teen-age or single pregnant moms
4)take my kids to disneyland or disney world
5)go on a best friend all inclusive spa luxury getaway
6)lose 25 pounds in a healthy purposeful way....

i am gonna have to keep thinkin...

I am thinkin ... bucket list

I keep thinkin about a friend of mine saying.. "we just don't fit in"... I dont really fit anywhere.. but I am good with that. I dont really fit  into a type or a mold. In Juno the teenage girl's dad says, I didnt think you were that kinda girl, her response, "dad i dont really know what kinda girl I am." I totally get that .. only she is 17 and in a movie and I am 31 in real life! UGGGGG so in thinkin about all the ways I dont fit anywhere, I began thinkin.. i should start a bucket list....

Continuing my Morning..

My son has come up with some sniffles but looking rather well.. So I ask, are you ready to go to school. His answer, "No mom remember I am sick, but I dont have RSP." I correct him and say I think you do have RSV, but in turn he says whatever mom, I dont have it just a runny nose, but can I go outside for some fresh air or can I please play computer? I say no it is ugly outside (wind, cold, flurries) and no computer, now do you wanna go to school? But he still says no, so I am keeping him home... Good Answer, right? idk

Just another morning....

How do you know when to send your kids too school? This is a question I seem to ask myself more than most do! My pet peeve is sending sick kids to school to breathe, cough, and touch on healthy kids! So I possibly over cautiously keep them home when they are coughing, sneezing, runny nosing or if they flat out say they just don't feel well.  So as I ponder this morning ... my house is quiet of sleeping children at 8:30am on a Monday morning and I don't feel too bad for making the choice I did!
*side note one child for sure has RSV and my smartness would lead me to say they all do*
 Now my favorite thing about quiet mornings... coffee, praise and worship music, and reading the bible! Love it!
The not so quiet is for some reason I thought I needed a puppy.. He is cute but LOVES to bark and fight with my big dog. Oh and also chew on everything.. so in the back ground i hear the raw sound of teeth slipping on plastic or wood.... But it's all good. I have a gift of being able to tune out most noise! And obviously taking time on the computer which usually distracts me from my direct plan of coffee and devotions.  hmm... not proud to admit.
and now i hear my toddler fussin..... so my random life online will have to continue on .. later.
